👟 $10 MILLION IN FAKE NIKES & ADIDAS?! SOMEBODY’S WAREHOUSE JUST LOST ITS WHOLE INVENTORY 😭

Baby, if you recently bought some Jordans and that Jumpman looked like he was running to catch the bus, you might want to come on in here.

Authorities in Southern California just uncovered a counterfeit operation with enough fake streetwear to stock somebody's mall.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department says investigators seized 25,898 counterfeit items from a commercial warehouse in Arcadia, California, with an estimated retail value of approximately $10 MILLION if the merchandise had been authentic. The haul included merchandise carrying Nike, Adidas and other major brand names.

👀 HOW DID THEY FIND ALL THIS?

According to authorities, the investigation began in early August after a bulk shipment was intercepted and inspected at a port of entry.

Investigators determined that the shipment contained large quantities of counterfeit streetwear.

And where was that shipment headed?

Right to a warehouse in the 11600 block of Goldring Road in Arcadia.

Well, now you done gave the police the address. 😭

Deputies and federal agents obtained a search warrant and hit the warehouse on August 25, where authorities say they recovered the massive inventory.

We're talking boxes and boxes of merchandise allegedly pretending to be the real deal.

🏃🏾‍♂️ AND THE OWNER?

GONE.

Authorities say no arrests were made when the search warrant was executed, and the person who owns the business remains an outstanding suspect while the investigation continues.

So somebody allegedly had nearly 26,000 pieces of fake merchandise sitting in a warehouse and apparently decided:

“Y'all can have the shoes. I'm OUT.”

Sir, they know where the warehouse is.

They know who owns the business.

I don't think changing your profile picture is gonna fix this one.

👟 THIS IS BIGGER THAN ONE WAREHOUSE

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Counterfeit and Piracy Enforcement Team has reportedly executed roughly 25 search warrants over the past year, recovering around 200,000 counterfeit items with an estimated genuine retail value between $15 million and $25 million.

That should also make consumers think twice about some of these unbelievable sneaker deals online.

Because apparently some of these shoes aren't Nike.

They're Might-Be.

Those ain't Adidas.

Those are A-DEFINITELY-NOT. 😭

Now listen.

I understand wanting a deal.

Shoes are expensive as hell.

But when somebody offers you a pair of brand-new $200 sneakers for $39.99, free shipping, AND they have every size available, your common sense should at least raise one eyebrow.

And don't think a convincing box automatically means what's inside is authentic. Counterfeit operations have gotten sophisticated enough to imitate packaging, labels and branding too.

As for whoever allegedly owned this warehouse?

Authorities say you're still outstanding.

But after losing almost 26,000 items?

I suspect you're somewhere looking at your phone saying:

“Damn. They took EVERYTHING?”

Yep.

Even the Mike Air Jordans. 😂
