• 1881📚The 1st Black nursing school at Spelman College in Atlanta, Ga. opens because Black Americans were not admitted into white hospitals & due to the limited amount of nursing programs who were enrolling Black Americans

• 1952🎶Willie Mae "Big Mama" Thornton records the original version of "Hound Dog," later re-recorded by Elvis Presley. Elvis loved us so much he copied. You cant love the copy without  loving the original's 2nd album, Bigger And Deffer, goes Platinum, making him the 1st rap solo act to do so

• 1953📚Black veteran Lamar Smith was shot & killed in front of Brookhaven Mississippi courthouse for urging Black people to vote despite numerous witnesses no one was arrested. He fought for a country that didn't fight for him. RESPECT THE ANCESTORS
