Franklin formed the National Association of Colored Graduate Nurses, to improve the status of Black nurses & combat racial discrimination in the nursing field 1925📚Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters was founded at a mass meeting in Elks Hall in Harlem. A. Philip Randolph was elected president. Employed by the Pullman Company. They would become 1 of the most successful union organizations history. Giving a voice to the many railroad workers who were forced to work long hours for low pay & benefits. Asa Philip Randolph: "This organization is not here because somebody loved it; it is here because it pushed everybody out of its way. Chicago was the Headquarters of the Pullman Company & the site where the 1st all-Black labor union the BROTHERHOOD OF SLEEPING CAR PORTERS BSCP was formed."
