šļø CHICAGO SPORTS SAID, āTWO OUTTA THREE AINāT BAD!ā šBEARS WIN. WHITE SOX WIN. CUBS... COME HERE, BABY.

šCHICAGO, IL ā 730 BOOM SPORTS
Chicago sports fans have been through enough emotional cardio to qualify for a gym membership, but this week the city actually had something to celebrate.
THE BEARS WON.
THE WHITE SOX WON.
And the Cubs...
Well.
The Cubs participated.Ā š
š» BEARS: THIRD STRING?! THIRD STRING WHERE?!
The Chicago Bears walked into Monday Night Football without starting quarterback Caleb Williams and with backup Tyson Bagent coming off concussion protocol.
So who got the keys?
Case Keenum.
A 14-year NFL veteran making his first regular-season appearance since 2023.
And that man apparently said, āSince y'all called me, I might as well WORK.ā
Keenum completed 24 of 34 passes for 247 yards, threw two touchdowns and ran for another as the Bears absolutely handled the Philadelphia Eagles 27-7. The Bears defense added three takeaways and held Philadelphia scoreless throughout the second half. Chicago Bears
THIRD STRING BEAT THAT AAAA...
Lady Red is trying to behave.

Chicago, don't start measuring for the Super Bowl parade route yet.
But I ain't telling you NOT to price the folding chairs.
ā¾ WHITE SOX SAID, āMOVE OVER, WE GOT SOMETHING TOO!ā
Then Tuesday came, and the South Side joined the party.
The White Sox opened their American League Wild Card Series against Houston with a 6-3 victory, taking a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series. Reuters
And Colson Montgomery?
That man picked a beautiful time to wake up.
After struggling badly down the stretch, Montgomery stepped into his first postseason gameĀ and launched a 432-foot home runĀ to center field.
BOOM. š„
The Sox built an early lead, every starter reached base, and Grant Taylor recorded the final seven outs to shut the door. Chicago Sun-Times
So now Chicago is sitting there like:
BEARS WON.
SOX WON.
WE BACK, HEAUX!!!
And then somebody looked over at the North Side.
š
š»āāļø CUBS...
Baby.
Come sit next to Lady Red.
Because the Cubs didn't just lose Game 1 of their Wild Card Series against San Diego.
THE PADRES BEAT THEM 8-0.
EIGHT.
TO.
ZERO. Bleed Cubbie Blue
The Padres homered on the first pitch they saw, and things never really recovered from there. Cubs starter Matthew Boyd surrendered three home runs, while Chicago's offense struggled to get anything going. Cubs Insider
Now I don't want to say the Cubs ruined the Chicago sports family picture...
But everybody else showed up smiling and the Cubs came in looking like they had just been told picture day was yesterday.
š
Still, it's a best-of-three Wild Card Series, so Game 1 isn't the whole story.
šļø CHICAGO, ENJOY THIS LITTLE MOMENT
For one glorious stretch of Chicago sports:
š» BEARS: 27-7 WIN
ā¾ WHITE SOX: 6-3 PLAYOFF WIN
š»āāļø CUBS: 0-8 LOSS
So we're 2-1.
That's a winning record!
DON'T ASK ANY MORE QUESTIONS.Ā š
The Bears handled the Eagles.
The Sox handled Houston.
And Cubs fans...
We love you.
Drink some water.
Turn your phone off.
Don't argue with Sox fans tonight.
They have documentation.Ā ššš
