🚨 DOLTON OFFICER PUT ON LEAVE AFTER WILD ENCOUNTER CAUGHT ON VIDEO

730 BOOM RADIO | CHICAGOLAND NEWS
Baby, what started as an alleged speeding situation somehow ended with a Dolton police officer on somebody's property, accusations of a slap, allegations of gunfire and a cellphone recording the whole mess.
Now that officer has been placed on administrative leave while the Village of Dolton investigates what happened.
Because apparently a simple Saturday wasn't on the menu.
The incident happened Saturday, September 26, in Calumet City, according to reporting from CBS Chicago.
Video from the encounter began circulating online afterward. In the footage, a man can be heard repeatedly telling the Dolton officer to leave his property.
The man involved claims the confrontation began after the officer accused him of speeding.
Now hold on.
Speeding?
Lady Red has questions.
How did we allegedly go from you were driving too fast to why are we standing at somebody's HOUSE?
Because somewhere between Point A and Point B, this story apparently took the scenic route through What The Hell Happened Here Boulevard.
👀 THE MAN MAKES SERIOUS ALLEGATIONS
The man alleges that during the confrontation, the officer slapped him.
He also claims the officer fired a gun at him.
Those are allegations from the man involved, and authorities have not publicly confirmed his version of events.
The Village of Dolton has also not released a detailed account explaining what led up to the confrontation, why the officer was at the Calumet City property or exactly what happened during the encounter.
And that's important.
A video circulating online may capture part of an incident, but an investigation will have to determine what happened before, during and after what was recorded.
🚔 DOLTON TAKES THE OFFICER OFF DUTY
The Village of Dolton confirmed that officials are aware of the video and announced that the officer involved has been placed on administrative leave pending a full investigation.
The village says it will release additional information when appropriate because the case is also an active personnel matter.
The officer has not been publicly identified.
And being placed on administrative leave does not by itself establish wrongdoing. The investigation is supposed to determine whether department policies or laws were violated.
But chile...
When your Saturday starts with an alleged speeding complaint and ends with your employer announcing an investigation on Monday morning?
That weekend went LEFT.
🎙️ LADY RED SAYS...
Everybody needs to let the investigation do its job because there are some major unanswered questions here.
Why was a Dolton officer involved in an encounter at a residence in Calumet City?
What happened before the recording started?
Was anyone actually struck?
Was a firearm discharged?
And if it was, WHY?
Those answers matter.
Until investigators release additional evidence, allegations need to remain exactly what they are: allegations.
But one thing isn't alleged.
There's a video circulating.
The Village of Dolton knows about it.
And that officer is now sitting on administrative leave while somebody starts asking a whole lot of questions.
730 BOOM will keep watching this one as the investigation develops.
