🚨 FKA TWIGS DROPS SHIA LABEOUF LAWSUIT AFTER NDA DISPUTE! SINGER NOW FREE TO SPEAK ABOUT ALLEGED ABUSE

730 BOOM RADIO | RED ALERT™ | ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
Singer and actress FKA twigs has dropped her latest lawsuit against former boyfriend Shia LaBeouf, following a legal battle over a nondisclosure agreement that she argued restricted her ability to speak about alleged abuse.
But this wasn't simply a case of somebody deciding to walk away from a lawsuit.
The disputed confidentiality restrictions have been terminated.
HOW DID THIS ALL START?
FKA twigs, whose real name is Tahliah Barnett, originally filed a lawsuit against LaBeouf in December 2020, accusing the actor of sexual battery, physical assault, and emotional abuse during their relationship.
LaBeouf denied the allegations.
After years of legal proceedings, the former couple reached a private settlement in July 2025.
However, the settlement included confidentiality provisions that eventually became the center of another legal dispute.
THE NDA THAT CAUSED ANOTHER LAWSUIT
According to court filings, twigs believed the nondisclosure agreement restricted her ability to discuss her alleged experiences and advocate for survivors of sexual violence.
The dispute intensified after she participated in an October 2025 interview discussing her experiences and advocacy.
LaBeouf subsequently initiated arbitration, alleging that her public comments violated the settlement agreement.
Twigs responded by filing another lawsuit in March 2026, challenging the enforceability of the confidentiality restrictions under California law.
Her attorneys argued that the provisions conflicted with protections designed to prevent certain agreements from silencing people who report sexual assault or harassment.
THE OCTOBER 2026 DEVELOPMENT
Court filings revealed that LaBeouf agreed to terminate the disputed confidentiality provisions.
On October 6, 2026, twigs dismissed her lawsuit with prejudice, bringing that particular legal dispute to an end.
The resolution allows her to discuss her alleged experiences without being restricted by those terminated provisions.
However, the agreement does not establish that LaBeouf committed the alleged abuse, and the court did not issue a ruling determining whether the confidentiality provisions violated California law.

NOW HOLD ON!
So after YEARS of legal battles, attorneys, settlements, and arbitration, we're having another courtroom fight over whether somebody can talk about what they say happened to them?
BABY, THAT'S A WHOLE LOT OF PAPERWORK!
But underneath the celebrity names is a serious conversation.
When people settle lawsuits involving allegations of abuse, should they have to give up their ability to discuss their own experiences?
And what happens to people who don't have celebrity money or high-powered attorneys to challenge agreements they believe are unfair?
Those are questions worth discussing.
Because this story isn't just about two celebrities and their former relationship.
It's also about confidentiality agreements, legal protections, and the rights of people who report abuse.
BOOMLAND, SHOULD AN NDA EVER STOP SOMEONE FROM SPEAKING ABOUT ALLEGED ABUSE?
