😳🚨 MELODY SHARI TURNS HERSELF IN AFTER MARTELL HOLT’S HARASSMENT CLAIM... AND BABY, THIS LOVE & MARRIAGE: HUNTSVILLEĀ DRAMA HAS LEFT THE TV SCREEN!

CHIIILE... Melody and Martell are back in the headlines, but this time we're not talking about an OWN reunion special.

Former Love & Marriage: HuntsvilleĀ star Melody Shari Rodgers turned herself in Tuesday morning, September 22, at the Madison County Jail in AlabamaĀ after a warrant was issued in connection with allegations made by her ex-husband and former co-star, Martell Holt.

And before everybody sees the words DOMESTIC VIOLENCEĀ and starts creating their own episode in the comments, there's an important distinction in this case.

🚨 WHAT IS MELODY ACTUALLY CHARGED WITH?

Madison County Sheriff's Office records list the charge as:

Domestic Violence 3rd Degree - Harassment.

Records show Melody was booked at 9:29 a.m. Tuesday and released at 10:59 a.m., meaning she spent roughly an hour and a half in custody.

Under Alabama law, a domestic-violence designation can apply to harassment involving former spouses. So the booking description by itself does not establish that Melody physically assaulted Martell.

And Melody is denying the allegation.

šŸ‘€ SO WHAT DOES MARTELL SAY HAPPENED?

According to Melody's account in a local television interview, Martell alleged that during a school function involving one of their children earlier this year, Melody grabbed his arm and caused an injury.

Melody says that never happened.Ā

The original warrant reportedly dates back to May and concerns an alleged incident from the previous month. Authorities allowed Melody to arrange a voluntary surrender rather than unexpectedly taking her into custody.

So at this point we have an allegation from Martell and a complete denial from Melody.

We do NOT have a finding of guilt.

😳 AND MELODY ISN'T JUST DENYING IT...

She's trying to turn the situation into legislation.

Melody says she's working with Alabama lawmakers on proposed legislation being referred to as the ā€œMelody Shari Act.ā€

The idea is to increase consequences when someone knowingly files a false police report that results in an innocent person being arrested.Ā Melody says her own experience inspired the effort.

Alabama State Senator Merika ColemanĀ has publicly discussed legislation addressing misuse of the legal system and false allegations. However, local station WAFF reported Tuesday that it had not yet been able to locate the referenced pre-filed bill, so we're going to keep the BOOM Fact Meter right there until actual legislative paperwork can be independently confirmed.

😬 AND THERE'S HISTORY HERE...

Now this is where everybody who watched Love & Marriage: HuntsvilleĀ just leaned toward the radio.

Because Melody and Martell's relationship has been playing out publicly for YEARS.

Their marriage collapsed amid infidelity allegations, they divorced, went through a highly publicized custody battle involving their four children and eventually continued their lives separately.

Melody left Love & Marriage: Huntsville, while Martell remained associated with the franchise.

But their legal conflicts didn't disappear when Melody left reality television.

Martell himself previously faced a third-degree domestic-violence case involving harassing communications toward Melody, a separate matter from the new allegation against her.

And now Martell's allegation has resulted in Melody being the one photographed and booked.

Baby...

At this point, the Love & MarriageĀ part has packed its bags.

We're just watching HUNTSVILLE. 😩

šŸŽ™ļø LADY RED SAYS...

Now y'all KNOW I watched this show.

And if you watched Melody and Martell for all those seasons, you already know there are going to be three different versions of this story before breakfast.

Martell made an allegation.

Melody says it's fabricated.

Melody was arrested because of the warrant.

An arrest is NOT a conviction.

And that's where we're leaving the facts until somebody walks into court with evidence.

Because I am NOT about to put on a judge's robe from Amazon and decide who did what based on a reality show. šŸ˜‚

What I WILL say is this:

These two have four children together.

At some point, I hope everybody involved finds a way to handle whatever needs handling through the appropriate legal channels and let those babies live without Mom and Daddy's business becoming another season of television on the internet.

As for Melody?

She says she's going to fight the charge AND fight to change Alabama law.

So this story isn't over.

Not even close. šŸ‘€
