🎤👀 SOLANGE + SUMMER WALKER IN THE REHEARSAL ROOM?! BABY, WHAT Y’ALL COOKING UP IN THERE?!

R&B fans, DO NOT START CLEARING YOUR PLAYLISTS JUST YET, because nobody has officially announced an album, single or tour.

But Solange just dropped a little footage from a band rehearsal featuring Summer Walker on electric guitar, and now everybody wants to know what exactly is going on in that room. 👀🎸

🎸 WAIT... SUMMER WALKER IS ON GUITAR?!

Yep!

Solange shared footage from what she described as her first band rehearsal, with Solange singing, musician Dylan Patrice Wiggins on keys and Summer Walker playing electric guitar.

And apparently Summer didn't just randomly wander into rehearsal and pick up somebody's guitar.

Solange revealed in the comments that she had begged Summer to come out of “guitar retirement” to join her. Summer's response made it clear she was happy to do it.

CHIIILE...

SOLANGE + SUMMER WALKER + LIVE INSTRUMENTS?!

Y'all cannot drop that combination on the internet and then expect everybody to calmly continue with their Tuesday. 😂

👀 BUT IS NEW MUSIC ACTUALLY COMING?

Here's where we need to keep the BOOM Fact Meter turned on.

Nobody has announced a collaboration, song, album or release date.

Neither artist has explained whether the rehearsal is preparation for a live performance, a future Solange project, a recording session or something else entirely. Right now, the only confirmed development is that they're rehearsing together.

So the new-music part is BUZZ, not confirmation.

And frankly, the mystery is what's making everybody nosy. 😂

🎶 SOLANGE HAS BEEN KEEPING US WAITING

Part of the excitement comes from just how long it's been since Solange released a full studio album.

Her last one, When I Get Home, arrived in 2019, meaning fans have now waited more than seven years for another full-length Solange project.

She's remained active creatively through Saint Heron, design, publishing, art and other projects, but another traditional Solange album hasn't arrived.

So when she suddenly pops up in a rehearsal room with musicians AND Summer Walker holding an electric guitar?

Baby...

THE R&B DETECTIVES CLOCKED IN IMMEDIATELY. 🕵🏾‍♀️🎶😂

👏🏾 AND THESE TWO ALREADY HAVE A CREATIVE CONNECTION

This isn't completely out of nowhere.

Solange previously contributed to Summer Walker's 2023 CLEAR 2: SOFT LIFE EP. Solange, Steve Lacy and John Kirby were among the collaborators behind the project's closing track, “Agayu's Revelation.”

So there is already some creative history between them.

Now we've got Summer actually playing guitar in Solange's rehearsal room.

HMMMMMM. 👀

🎙️ LADY RED SAYS...

Listen.

I'm not about to tell y'all “SOLANGE AND SUMMER WALKER ALBUM COMING FRIDAY!” because that's how the internet turns one 30-second clip into a 27-track double album, a world tour and a Las Vegas residency by lunchtime. 😂

We don't know WHAT they're making yet.

But I know what I heard:

Solange singing.

I know what I saw:

Summer Walker with a guitar.

And I know R&B fans:

WE ARE NOSY. 😂🎸

So until these ladies decide to tell us what they're actually working on, we're just going to stand outside the rehearsal-room door with our little imaginary cup pressed against it.

Because if this turns into new music?

730 BOOM IS READY. 🔥🎶

730 BOOM RADIOIT HITS DIFFERENT. EVERY TIME. BOOM! 💥
