THE SOX WERE DOWN 4-0… THEN THE SOUTHSIDE STARTED SOUTH SIDING! 😂

SOUTHSIDERS!!!! Y’all know how we do. We might stress you out, make you cuss at the TV, have you halfway ready to turn the game off... and THEN decide to start playing baseball.

The White Sox looked DEAD in the water Friday night.

Down 4-0 to the New York Mets.

Five innings gone.

Not much happening.

And then somebody apparently walked into the Sox dugout and said:

“Y'all do know we're allowed to hit the ball over the fence, right?”

Because BABY... 😂⚾

The South Side went from quiet to HOME RUN DERANGED.

THREE HOME RUNS. IN A ROW.

The comeback started in the sixth inning.

After Munetaka Murakami drew a walk, Miguel Vargas launched a two-run homer, cutting New York's lead to 4-2.

Then Randal Grichuk stepped up.

💥 GONE.

4-3.

Then Colson Montgomery came to the plate.

💥 GONE AGAIN.

4-4.

BACK.

TO BACK.

TO BACK.

HOME RUNS.

Sirrrrrr. 😂

We didn't gradually come back.

We didn't nibble at the lead.

The White Sox basically kicked the door open and said:

“MOVE.”

It was the second time this season Chicago has hit three consecutive homers in a game.

AND THEN CAME JAKE ROGERS...

The game remained tied heading into the bottom of the ninth.

Colson Montgomery walked to begin the inning. Braden Montgomery came in to run for him and moved over on Brenton Doyle's sacrifice bunt.

Eventually there were two outs.

Jake Rogers came to the plate against Mets reliever Jefry Yan.

Yan threw him a 98.1 mph fastball.

Jake said:

Thank you.

💥💥💥

He sent that thing DEEP to center field for a two-run walk-off homer.

BALLGAME.

WHITE SOX WIN 6-4.

And here's what makes it even crazier:

It was Rogers' first home run since the White Sox claimed him off waivers from Boston last week.

BABY, THAT'S HOW YOU INTRODUCE YOURSELF TO THE SOUTH SIDE.

DON'T FORGET WHAT THE METS DID FIRST

New York actually controlled much of this game.

Marcus Semien drove in the Mets' first run. Brett Baty added a two-run double, and Bo Bichette homered to help New York build that 4-0 advantage.

Mets starter Sean Manaea held Chicago scoreless through five innings.

Then the sixth inning arrived...

And apparently his evening EXPLODED. 😭

Three White Sox hitters.

Three consecutive home runs.

Tie game.

Chicago's bullpen then kept New York scoreless over the final three innings, setting the stage for Rogers to finish the job.

THE SOUTH SIDE NEEDED THIS ONE

This wasn't just a cute little August win either.

The White Sox entered Friday having lost three of their previous four games, but they're sitting atop the American League Central.

So when you're trying to stay on top of your division, THIS is the kind of win that can put some electricity back into a clubhouse.

Down four runs?

Didn't matter.

Three straight bombs?

Tie game.

Bottom of the ninth?

Jake Rogers sent everybody home.

That's Chicago baseball right there.

Stress you out for two hours...

Make you question every decision you've ever made...

Then suddenly have you standing in your living room screaming:
