BIGGIE'S SON SAYS GRANDMA'S WILL WAS CHANGED 15 DAYS BEFORE SHE DIED... AND NOW HE WANTS A JUDGE TO UNDO IT 👀

WAIT A MINUTE.

Because this isn't somebody fighting over Grandma's china cabinet and a bedroom set.

This is the family of The Notorious B.I.G., and we're talking about Biggie's awards, jewelry, property, business interests and control connected to one of hip-hop's most valuable legacies.

Christopher “CJ” Wallace Jr., the son of Biggie and Faith Evans, has gone to court challenging changes made to his grandmother Voletta Wallace's estate plan shortly before her death in February 2025.

And the timing is what has everybody looking sideways:

THE DISPUTED DOCUMENT WAS SIGNED JUST 15 DAYS BEFORE SHE DIED. 👀

CJ is asking a Pennsylvania court to invalidate the amendment.

📜 WHAT DID THE ORIGINAL WILL SAY?

According to reports on CJ's court filing, Voletta created a will in 2020 that provided for CJ and Biggie's daughter, T'yanna Wallace, to receive much of her personal property.

And we're not talking about random household stuff.

Reportedly included were:

Biggie's music awards, Voletta's jewelry and fur collection, a Mercedes-Benz SUV and property in Jamaica.

CJ also reportedly had an important role in managing parts of the estate after his grandmother's death.

Then February 2025 arrives.

Voletta is nearing the end of her life.

And according to CJ...

EVERYTHING CHANGES.

😳 FIFTEEN DAYS BEFORE HER DEATH...

CJ alleges Voletta signed a new amendment on February 6, 2025.

The change reportedly removed her grandchildren from important successor roles and put Wayne Barrow, Biggie's longtime former manager, into control as sole trustee. Barrow also became executor of Voletta's estate.

And CJ is basically telling the court:

HOLD UP. SOMETHING AIN'T RIGHT HERE.

His filing alleges his grandmother was in extremely poor health at the time, mostly confined to bed and taking multiple medications.

CJ is questioning whether she had the mental capacity necessary to knowingly make such a significant change to her estate plan.

And THEN there's the signature.

✍🏾 CJ SAYS THE SIGNATURE DOESN'T LOOK RIGHT

According to Complex, CJ's filing says signatures connected to the amendment appear “facially inconsistent.”

He wants them examined by a handwriting expert.

Now THAT is where Lady Red's eyebrow went up.

Because changing your will?

Perfectly legal.

Cutting somebody out?

Also potentially legal.

Changing your mind about who should control your estate?

That's your business.

BUT 15 DAYS BEFORE YOU DIE?

While reportedly extremely ill?

And now somebody is questioning whether the SIGNATURE even matches?

THE JUDGE IS GOING TO NEED THE WHOLE FILE. 👀

That doesn't prove the document was forged or improperly obtained. CJ is making allegations that still have to be proven in court. There has been no ruling establishing that Voletta's signature was forged or that Barrow did anything improper.

That's VERY important.

💰 AND BIGGIE'S ESTATE MAKES THIS MUCH BIGGER

Voletta wasn't simply Biggie's mama holding onto his old plaques.

After Biggie was murdered in 1997, she became one of the central guardians of her son's business and legacy.

Voletta and Faith Evans were involved in Notorious B.I.G. LLC, which controls valuable intellectual property connected to Biggie.

And shortly before Voletta's death, a deal was arranged involving Primary Wave acquiring a 50% interest in Biggie's catalog, publishing and publicity rights. 

So when we're talking about who controls Voletta's estate and trust...

WE'RE TALKING ABOUT SERIOUS BUSINESS.

😬 AND FAITH EVANS WAS ALREADY FIGHTING OVER THIS

Here's where this family tree starts looking like a courtroom seating chart.

Just LAST WEEK, Wayne Barrow scored a major victory in a separate legal battle involving Faith Evans.

After Voletta died, a dispute erupted over distributions connected to the company controlling Biggie's intellectual property.

A Delaware judge ultimately ruled in Barrow's favor, recognizing the trust's rights and Barrow's authority as trustee.

And guess what that judge's ruling specifically mentioned?

VOLETTA REMOVING CJ AS A SUCCESSOR TRUSTEE SHORTLY BEFORE SHE DIED.

So this controversial last-minute change isn't some rumor floating around Instagram.

The change itself has already surfaced in actual litigation involving Biggie's business affairs.

NOW CJ is challenging the validity of the change that put Barrow in that position in the first place.

THE PLOT JUST PUT ON TIMBERLAND BOOTS.

CJ reportedly wants the court to invalidate the disputed amendment and remove Barrow from his positions controlling his grandmother's estate.

Essentially, CJ wants the court to determine whether his grandmother REALLY knowingly intended to make these major changes just days before her death.

And until a judge decides that?

We cannot say the will was fraudulently altered.

We can accurately say:

CJ WALLACE ALLEGES IT WAS IMPROPERLY CHANGED AND IS CHALLENGING IT IN COURT.

That's a HUGE difference.

Biggie has been gone almost 30 YEARS, and his estate is STILL generating court battles.

That's how enormous that man's legacy became.

If Voletta Wallace knowingly decided:

“I want Wayne Barrow handling this after I'm gone,”

then that's Grandma's decision.

Honor it.

But if a document suddenly changed a major estate plan 15 DAYS BEFORE an elderly, seriously ill woman died, and her grandson is now questioning her capacity AND the appearance of the signatures?

Get the medical records.

Get the witnesses.

Get the attorneys who prepared it.

Get the handwriting expert.

Get the original documents.

And figure out what VOLETTA WALLACE actually wanted.

Because everybody keeps talking about protecting BIGGIE'S LEGACY...

But let's not forget:

VOLETTA SPENT DECADES PROTECTING THAT LEGACY HERSELF.

The least everybody can do now is make damn sure they're protecting HERS.
