USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN SAILORS ARE FINALLY HEADED HOME... AFTER MONTHS AT SEA, FOOD SHORTAGES, BROKEN TOILETS & SERIOUS MENTAL-HEALTH CONCERNS 🇺🇸⚓

Baby, when somebody signs up to serve this country, they KNOW military life isn't a cruise.

Long hours? Absolutely.

Danger? Unfortunately.

Months away from your family? Part of the sacrifice.

But not enough food, contaminated water, broken toilets, moldy showers and sailors reportedly becoming so overwhelmed that some tried to go overboard?

NAW. WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS.

Because after an extraordinary deployment that stretched beyond 250 days, the approximately **5,000 sailors and Marines aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln are finally being relieved and headed back toward the United States.

⚓ THEY LEFT HOME LAST NOVEMBER

The Abraham Lincoln deployed from San Diego in November 2025.

What was originally expected to be roughly a seven-month deployment turned into something much longer after the carrier was redirected to the Middle East and became involved in U.S. military operations connected to the war with Iran.

By August, the ship had been deployed for more than 250 days, with sailors spending more than 200 consecutive days without a port visit, an extraordinary stretch for a carrier crew.

Think about that.

MORE THAN 200 DAYS WITHOUT STEPPING ON LAND.

No running home.

No weekend off.

No saying, “I need to get away from this place for a minute.”

You're living where you work.

Working where you sleep.

And tomorrow?

DO IT AGAIN.

🍚 THEN FAMILIES STARTED TALKING...

Families of sailors began publicly describing conditions aboard the carrier.

Reports included food shortages, shortages of clean water and hygiene supplies, broken toilets, moldy showers, laundry problems, periods without hot water and mail disruptions that allegedly kept care packages from reaching sailors for months. 

One description relayed by Rep. Mike Levin was particularly disturbing.

A reported meal?

HALF A CUP OF RICE AND TWO TORTILLAS.

For somebody serving aboard an American aircraft carrier conducting combat operations.

I'm sorry...

WHAT?!

These folks are working around aircraft, machinery, weapons and equipment where ONE exhausted mistake could get somebody killed, and we're talking about whether they had enough FOOD?

💔 THEN THE STORY GOT MUCH MORE SERIOUS

Families weren't only talking about uncomfortable living conditions.

They were talking about mental health.

Navy Times reported that multiple sailors had reportedly attempted to go overboard during the extended deployment.

One sailor's wife said her husband attempted to jump after becoming severely burned out. She said he survived but was afraid the incident could destroy the 13-year Navy career he'd built.

CNN separately reported that a sailor went overboard in August and was rescued, while reporting indicated there had been other similar incidents or attempts.

And THAT'S where Lady Red stops joking.

Because whatever your politics are...

THOSE ARE HUMAN BEINGS ON THAT SHIP.

When people serving their country are reaching a point where families are publicly sounding alarms about their mental health, somebody needs to LISTEN.

🇺🇸 THE PENTAGON PUSHED BACK

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth disputed the reports, saying the situation had been “completely misrepresented.”

He said the military works to provide ships and crews with what they need and emphasized his respect for the sailors.

The Navy has also disputed suggestions that there was an increase in suicidal ideation aboard the ship and said mental-health resources were available.

So there ARE competing accounts here.

Families and some sailors have described extremely difficult conditions.

Military leadership has challenged portions of that characterization.

AND CONGRESS NOW WANTS ANSWERS.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal and other lawmakers have demanded information from the Pentagon about the length of the deployment, supplies, water contamination, plumbing problems, mental health, fatigue and how the Navy is monitoring sailors' well-being.

😳 THEN PRESIDENT TRUMP WAS ASKED ABOUT IT...

When a reporter told President Trump that families were concerned about conditions aboard the Lincoln, Trump responded:

“No, they're not.”

When asked whether the deployment had gone on too long, he said it was “not nearly long enough.” 

BABY...

Whether somebody voted red, blue, purple or wrote BEYONCÉ on the ballot...

THOSE FAMILIES ARE TELLING YOU THEY'RE WORRIED.

You can't tell somebody:

“No you're not.”

😭

They KNOW if they're worried!

And we're talking about military families waiting for their husbands, wives, sons and daughters to come HOME.

🙏🏾 NOW RELIEF HAS FINALLY ARRIVED

The USS George Washington carrier strike group has now arrived in the Middle East and taken over duties from the Abraham Lincoln.

That means the Lincoln can finally begin its return to its homeport in San Diego after one of the longest carrier deployments in recent U.S. Navy history.

And somewhere tonight...

There are spouses watching that ship tracker.

Mamas checking their phones.

Kids counting days.

Sailors probably staring at the ocean thinking:

JUST GET ME HOME.

🔴 LADY RED SAYS...

Listen.

I don't care WHO is sitting in the White House.

I don't care which political party controls Congress.

And I don't care who started what war.

TAKE CARE OF THE PEOPLE YOU SEND TO FIGHT IT.

Period.

If you're asking somebody to spend eight or nine months away from their children, working around the clock aboard a floating military city in a combat zone...

they shouldn't have to wonder whether there's enough food.

They shouldn't have to deal with contaminated water.

They shouldn't have to live around broken sanitation systems.

And when sailors are showing signs of serious psychological distress?

THAT ISN'T SOMETHING TO BRUSH OFF.

These sailors kept doing their jobs while most of America went about ours.

So today, 730 BOOM isn't making this one about Republican versus Democrat.

We're making it about THE PEOPLE ON THAT SHIP.

Because serving your country shouldn't mean your country forgets to take care of you.
