🤦🏾‍♀️ MAN ACCUSED OF IMPERSONATING A COP TRIES TO PULL OVER AN UNDERCOVER OFFICER... BABY, YOU PICKED THE WRONG CAR!

There are bad decisions.

There are TERRIBLE decisions.

And then there is allegedly pretending to be the police and accidentally trying to pull over THE ACTUAL POLICE.

Ladies and gentlemen...

WE HAVE A KNUCKLEHEAD. 😭

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in Florida, 46-year-old Nadi Jabari was arrested after authorities say he attempted to conduct a fake traffic stop on June 24 in Thonotosassa.

And the car he allegedly selected for his little traffic-stop audition?

AN UNDERCOVER SHERIFF'S OFFICE VEHICLE. 

Sir.

Of ALLLLLLLL the cars on the highway...

🚨 HE ALLEGEDLY HAD THE LIGHTS AND EVERYTHING

Authorities say Jabari was driving a black Chevrolet Suburban on U.S. Highway 301 North when the vehicle activated red and blue emergency lights while following an undercover sheriff's vehicle.

Apparently the deputies inside realized somebody was trying to pull THEM over.

Now imagine being an undercover officer looking in your rearview mirror:

“Is this man... trying to pull US over?”

😂😂😂

That's when the Uno cards came out.

REVERSE!

Instead of the undercover deputies pulling over for him, deputies intervened and conducted a REAL traffic stop on HIS Suburban. 

🤦🏾‍♀️ BABY, YOU PICKED THE WRONG CAR!

Let's just examine the odds here.

You're allegedly pretending to be a police officer.

You find a vehicle.

You get behind it.

You hit your little red and blue lights.

And out of ALL the innocent motorists you could've encountered...

YOU PICK THE UNDERCOVER SHERIFFS.

That's like robbing somebody at random and finding out you just picked Batman.

Sir, your luck is HORRIBLE. 😭

😳 AND POLICE SAY THEY FOUND MORE

According to the Sheriff's Office, detectives recovered the illegal emergency-light setup, an additional two-foot emergency light bar and a firearm from the Suburban.

Wait.

ANOTHER LIGHT BAR?!

So this wasn't allegedly:

“I found these lights in the garage and accidentally turned them on.”

Baby had ACCESSORIES.

Apparently we were building the Police Starter Kit Deluxe Edition. 😭

🚔 THEN CAME THE REAL CHARGES

Authorities say Jabari was arrested and charged with:

• False personation

• Unlawful use of a blue light

• Possession of a firearm during commission of a felony 

And unlike the alleged traffic stop...

THOSE CHARGES WERE REAL.

Imagine starting the day allegedly pretending to arrest somebody and ending it actually getting arrested yourself.

That's not irony.

THAT'S KNUCKLEHEAD KARMA WITH SAME-DAY DELIVERY. 📦😂

⚠️ BUT THERE IS A SERIOUS SIDE TO THIS

Impersonating a police officer isn't harmless.

Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister said people falsely presenting themselves as law enforcement can endanger the public and damage trust between legitimate officers and the community.

The Sheriff's Office also offered an important reminder: if you're ever unsure whether a traffic stop is legitimate, drive to a well-lit public location and call 911. 

Because fake police stops can become dangerous very quickly.

Somewhere in that undercover vehicle, you KNOW somebody had to look at their partner and say:

“You seeing this?”

“Yep.”

“He trying to pull us over?”

“Looks like it.”

“Should we tell him?”
