Former Playboy model Sondra Theodore, who dated Playboy founder Hugh Hefner from 1976 to 1981, made an absolutely jaw-dropping allegation about Hefner during the A&E documentary series Secrets of Playboy.

According to Theodore, she once walked in on Hefner allegedly engaging in an extremely inappropriate sexual situation involving one of her pets.

YES.

HER PET.

And no, we're not giving you the play-by-play.

Some stories need details.

THIS ONE NEEDS HOLY WATER. 😩

👀 SHE SAID SHE WALKED IN AND SAW IT HERSELF

Theodore didn't claim somebody told her about the alleged incident.

She said she witnessed it herself.

According to her account, she walked in, saw what Hefner was allegedly doing and confronted him.

Now most people caught in an alleged situation THAT bizarre might start apologizing, explaining, running, hiding, changing their name or applying for citizenship on another planet.

But according to Theodore...

HUGH HAD AN EXPLANATION.

And baby...

THE EXPLANATION DID NOT HELP.

😳 “DOGS HAVE NEEDS.”

According to Theodore's recollection, Hefner's response was essentially:

“Dogs have needs.”

SIR.

FOOD is a need.

WATER is a need.

Going outside is a need.

A walk around the block is a need.

A little squeaky toy from PetSmart?

ABSOLUTELY A NEED.

But whatever Theodore alleged was happening inside that mansion?

THAT WAS NOT ON THE PET CARE CHECKLIST. 😭😭😭

Somebody call Dr. Dolittle because apparently there had been a catastrophic breakdown in communication.

Theodore claimed the incident disturbed her so much that afterward, she wouldn't leave that particular pet alone with Hefner again.

Now just imagine that conversation.

“I'm going to the store.”

“Okay.”

“I'm taking the pet.”

“Why?”

YOU KNOW WHY, HUGH.

All those rooms.

All those parties.

All those famous guests.

All those Playboy Bunnies.

And somebody STILL had to institute a PET SUPERVISION POLICY?!

Theodore's allegation was part of a much larger collection of disturbing claims made in Secrets of Playboy. Several former girlfriends and people associated with Playboy described experiences that challenged the glamorous, carefree image Hefner and the Playboy brand presented to the public.

Theodore herself made several serious allegations about her years with Hefner and described a relationship she said became increasingly troubling.

Hefner died in 2017 at age 91, several years before Secrets of Playboy premiered, so he wasn't alive to respond to this allegation when Theodore made it publicly through the documentary.

And that's important.

The incident remains Sondra Theodore's allegation. It has not been independently established that everything happened exactly as she described it, and the statement attributed to Hefner comes from Theodore's recollection of their exchange.

But did his former longtime girlfriend publicly make this allegation?

YES.

And did she really claim his explanation amounted to “dogs have needs”?

YES. SHE DID.

Fold up the silk pajamas.
