NOBODY’S BEEN CHARGED... BUT THE LAWYERS HAVE ARRIVED, THE FUND HIT $160K, AND NOW EVERYBODY GOT QUESTIONS 👀
Updated: Aug 25

Lady Red here, and baby... pull up a chair. Because this Nolan Wells story has officially entered the “WAIT A DAMN MINUTE” department.
Let me start with what we KNOW, because the internet has already put on a detective badge, rented a trench coat and started its own CSI unit.
As of right now, Warren Hudson, Jax Pitalo and Morgan Seymour have not been criminally charged in connection with Nolan Wells’ death.
Let me say that again for the folks already typing in all caps:
NO. CRIMINAL. CHARGES.
And being represented by an attorney does not mean somebody is guilty.
Okay?
Good.
Now that we've gotten the responsible journalism out the way...
BABY, WHAT IS GOING ON?!
Because while authorities continue investigating what happened to 18-year-old Nolan Wells after that July 4 trip to Horn Island, three of the friends who were there have assembled themselves one HECK of a legal squad.
And not just somebody's cousin who does divorces, traffic tickets and LLC paperwork on Tuesdays.
No ma'am.
Their legal team now includes Edward Andrew Paltzik, a high-profile defamation attorney who has represented Donald Trump in media litigation.
I said...
TRUMP'S LAWYER?!
Sir, I thought we were still trying to figure out what happened on the island!
Somehow we done went from a boating trip to LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL BILLABLE HOURS UNIT.
And THEN comes the money.
A GiveSendGo fundraiser established to help the three young men with their legal battle has reportedly climbed past $160,000.
ONE.
HUNDRED.
AND.
SIXTY.
THOUSAND.
DOLLARS.
And remember...
Nobody has been criminally charged.
Now before somebody runs over to Facebook and writes, “Lady Red said they're guilty,” NO I DIDN'T.
Put that keyboard DOWN.
Hiring attorneys can be perfectly reasonable when you're facing massive public accusations, possible lawsuits and national media attention. Their attorneys say these young men are innocent and have been unfairly targeted by accusations surrounding Nolan's death.
And according to the fundraiser, this money isn't simply some “criminal defense fund.” It's intended to help protect their legal interests and potentially pursue defamation claims against people they say have falsely accused them.
Which explains why you bring in a heavyweight defamation attorney.
But it ALSO explains why the public is sitting there with one eyebrow touching its hairline.
Because this investigation isn't finished.
Nolan's family is still demanding answers.
The internet is full of theories.
Attorneys are issuing statements.
Money is pouring into legal funds.
And now lawyers for the three friends are warning that people spreading what they consider lies could face legal consequences.
BABY, THE LAWSUIT PRINTER IS WARMING UP.
Meanwhile, there's still one question sitting quietly in the middle of all this noise:
WHAT HAPPENED TO NOLAN WELLS?
Because that's the part that cannot get lost between GoFundMe-style fundraisers, attorneys, social-media detectives, threatened lawsuits and everybody trying to win the court of public opinion.
An 18-year-old young man went to Horn Island over Independence Day weekend.
He didn't come home.
His family deserves answers.
And until investigators establish exactly what happened, allegations are allegations, theories are theories, and people who haven't been charged should not be declared guilty on Facebook, TikTok, YouTube or anywhere else.
But Lady Red DOES have a question...
If nobody has been charged, but you've already raised more than $160,000 and brought in an attorney who's represented Donald Trump...
Chile...
WHAT EXACTLY ARE Y'ALL PREPARING FOR? đź‘€
Because apparently everybody came back from Horn Island with something.
Some came back with questions.
Some came back with lawyers.
And somebody came back with a six-figure legal fund.
The investigation continues.
And so do the side-eyes.
