🚨CHRIS BROWN, $45K A MONTH IN CHILD SUPPORT?! WTF!! AND $500 A MONTH FOR A 4-YEAR-OLD’S CLOTHES?! WHERE SHE GOING?! 😂

Chris Brown and Diamond Brown, the mother of his young daughter Lovely, have found themselves in a custody and child-support dispute, and BABY... some of these numbers have Lady Red staring at the calculator like it personally offended me.

Diamond is reportedly seeking approximately $45,000 A MONTH in child support.

Yes.

FORTY. FIVE. THOUSAND. DOLLARS. EVERY. MONTH.

That's approximately $540,000 a year if that amount were ultimately ordered and paid for 12 months.

Now before somebody jumps through the screen screaming, “BUT CHRIS BROWN IS RICH!”

I know.

And Chris Brown should absolutely take care of his daughter according to his means. A child with a wealthy parent shouldn't have to live like Daddy's bank account disappears every time the child-support conversation starts.

But wealthy or not, I'm still allowed to look at $45,000 every 30 days and say:

FOR WHO?! 😭

According to reports about Diamond's requested monthly expenses, the proposed budget includes approximately $15,000 for housing, $3,500 for childcare, $2,000 toward college savings, $2,000 for gifts, $1,500 for art and sports activities, $500 for clothing and $350 for haircuts.

BABY.

💥 $500 A MONTH FOR CLOTHES?!

Now THIS is where Lady Red had to put the phone down.

Who buys $500 worth of clothes EVERY MONTH for a 4-year-old?

Where she going?!

She got brunch reservations?

Business meetings?

A red carpet at daycare?

Is she dropping an album Friday?! 😂

Of course children need clothes. And anybody who has raised one knows little kids can outgrow something between breakfast and lunch.

But $500 every single month?

That's $6,000 a year in clothes.

For a FOUR-YEAR-OLD.

And if the child isn't constantly attending events requiring new outfits, I'm trying to figure out what we're buying every 30 days. How many leggings, dresses, sneakers and little jackets can one baby rotate?

💇🏾‍♀️ AND $350 A MONTH FOR HAIR?!

Again, wealthy people have different lifestyles and different expenses.

I understand that.

But I'm still sitting over here doing regular-people mathematics. 😂

Because once you start stacking housing, childcare, clothing, hair, gifts, activities and everything else, that monthly request starts looking less like somebody handed me a child's expense sheet and more like somebody handed me the operating budget for a small corporation.

🏠 AND HERE'S THE OTHER PART...

Chris reportedly already provides substantial financial support for his daughter, including expenses connected to housing and other necessities.

And this isn't simply a money fight. Custody is also part of the dispute. Diamond is seeking primary custody, while Chris has sought joint custody.

The two sides have also made allegations against one another beyond finances, which will ultimately be for the court to evaluate.

And that's important because $45,000 is reportedly the amount being requested. It is not the same thing as saying a judge has ordered Chris Brown to pay $45,000 every month.

There's a BIG difference.

💥 LADY RED'S TWO CENTS

Listen.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR CHILDREN. PERIOD.

If you're making millions of dollars, don't have your child living on noodles while you're flying private, buying jewelry and popping bottles.

Your child should benefit from your success.

Give that baby a beautiful home.

Great education.

Healthcare.

Activities.

Travel.

College money.

Opportunities.

Security.

Everything you're financially capable of providing.

But it still doesn't automatically follow that every number somebody writes on a child-support request is reasonable simply because the other parent can afford it.

And this is where some folks aren't gonna agree with me:

It don't take all that to raise one child.

And if you're telling a court that you genuinely cannot provide the lifestyle your child needs without receiving $45,000 every month, while the child's other parent has the financial resources to provide that lifestyle directly...

Then maybe custody and parenting time need to be part of that conversation too.

Because if Daddy can provide the house, food, clothes, school, healthcare, activities and everything else himself, and he wants to be an active parent, then I don't understand acting like the ONLY solution is handing Mama nearly half a million dollars plus every year.

That's my two cents.

And before somebody twists that into something it isn't, I'm not saying Chris shouldn't pay child support.

I'm saying:

CHILD SUPPORT SHOULD SUPPORT THE CHILD.

😂 NOW BACK TO THESE CLOTHES...

Because I'm still stuck there.

$500. EVERY. MONTH.

Baby, after twelve months, this four-year-old better walk downstairs and tell me:

“Mother, my stylist has arrived.”

Because WHERE.

IS.

SHE.

GOING?! 😭😂👗

Take care of these babies.

Give them everything they need.

Give them some of what they want too.

But $45K a month?

Lady Red needs to see the itemized receipt.
