🇺🇸 SUPREME COURT CLEARS THE WAY FOR TRUMP’S MAIL-VOTING ORDER... WAIT, DIDN’T HE JUST VOTE BY MAIL?!

The U.S. Supreme Court handed President Donald Trump a significant legal victory Monday, voting 6-3 to lift one court order that had blocked portions of his administration’s new mail-voting restrictions.

But before everybody starts yelling “MAIL-IN VOTING IS GONE!”, that's not what happened.

Trump's March executive order directs the federal government to create citizenship lists for each state and requires the U.S. Postal Service to deliver mail ballots only for voters appearing on approved lists. It also calls for new requirements involving ballot envelopes and tracking.

The Supreme Court did not rule that Trump's entire policy is constitutional. It lifted one injunction after concluding that the states challenging the policy did not have standing at this stage. Another nationwide injunction remains in effect, meaning parts of the policy could still be blocked while the lawsuits continue.

Supporters of the administration say the changes are intended to strengthen election integrity and make sure mail ballots go only to eligible voters. Opponents argue the president is intruding on election authority traditionally exercised by states and Congress and could prevent eligible Americans from receiving ballots.

Trump has spent how long telling everybody mail voting is terrible?

Mail voting is dangerous.

Mail voting is cheating.

Mail voting needs to be restricted.

DIDN'T YOUR ASS JUST MAIL IN A BALLOT?!

YES. HE DID. 😂

And we're not guessing.

Palm Beach County voting records showed Trump voted by mail in a Florida special election this past March, and his ballot was counted. Reuters reported that he had publicly described mail voting as “mail-in cheating” while simultaneously using the method himself.

MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.

So apparently the Lady Red Voting Rules are:

When YOU vote by mail: 🇺🇸 Presidential responsibilities.

When everybody ELSE votes by mail: 🚨 STOP THE PRESSES! SOMEBODY CHECK THAT ENVELOPE!

😭😭😭

And yes, Trump explained why he did it. He said his responsibilities as president meant he needed to be in Washington rather than Florida, so he used a mail ballot.

Okay.

BUT THAT'S EXACTLY WHY MAIL VOTING EXISTS!

People travel.

People work.

People get sick.

People serve in the military.

People have disabilities.

People can't always stand in line at a polling place on Election Day.

That's the entire damn point of having another legal way to cast your vote.

So Lady Red needs somebody to explain:

HOW IS THE BALLOT SAFE WHEN IT'S YOURS?! 😭

And before anybody turns this into something the ruling didn't say, Trump hasn't personally abolished mail voting with an executive order, and today's Supreme Court decision doesn't eliminate it nationwide. There are still court fights underway, and another injunction remains.

But changing election procedures this close to the November midterms?

Baby, THAT'S where I'm looking sideways. 👀

Whatever party you belong to, election rules need to be clear enough that regular people know HOW THE HELL THEY'RE SUPPOSED TO VOTE before Election Day gets here.

Because voting shouldn't require a law degree, three Supreme Court opinions and a decoder ring.

And Mr. President...

Lady Red has just ONE request:

🖊️ SOMEBODY PLEASE TAKE THE DAMN PEN AWAY FOR FIVE MINUTES.
