🎬😂 TYLER PERRY GOT US ASKING “WHY DID I GET MARRIED?” AGAIN... BUT SIR, WE STILL AIN'T FORGOT WHAT YOU DID TO SHEILA!

Baby, 16 YEARS.

That's how long Tyler Perry had us waiting to get this crew back together, and now Why Did I Get Married Again? is officially streaming on Netflix as of September 9. Most of the original gang is back, including Tyler Perry, Tasha Smith, Michael Jai White, Sharon Leal, Jill Scott, Lamman Rucker and Richard T. Jones. And this time Taraji P. Henson has pulled up to add some fresh seasoning to the pot.

But before we discuss ANYTHING ELSE...

Come on in the room.

We need to revisit some old business.

Because some of us STILL have not forgiven you for what you put Sheila through in that first movie.

You had Jill Scott out there playing Sheila, married to Mike, while that man was disrespecting her, cheating on her and treating her like she was lucky HE picked HER.

Then you had that woman getting put off the damn plane because of her weight while Mike continued on the trip with the woman he was cheating with?!

SIR.

It's been almost 20 years and I still get irritated thinking about it. 😂

Now Sheila eventually upgraded that entire situation and got herself Troy, thank GOD. And yes, Jill Scott and Lamman Rucker are both back for the new movie. Even Mike, played by Richard T. Jones, has somehow found his way back into the festivities.

Apparently nobody in this friend group knows how to permanently remove somebody from the group chat.

💍 SO WHY ARE THEY GETTING MARRIED AGAIN?

This time everybody heads to Lake Como, Italy, because Angela and Marcus' daughter Jasmine is getting married to Wesley, whose mother Roselyn is played by Taraji P. Henson.

And naturally, these people cannot attend a wedding, vacation, dinner, barbecue, baptism or probably a Sam's Club run without somebody's relationship falling apart.

Secrets start coming out.

Old behavior starts showing back up.

The younger generation starts making some of the SAME relationship mistakes their parents made.

Basically, everybody packed formalwear for Italy and apparently threw 17 years of unresolved business into the carry-on. 😂

But there's one person missing from this reunion...

👀 TYLER... WHERE IS JANET?!

Because Dr. Patricia Agnew is NOT in the new movie.

Janet Jackson played Patricia in the first two films, but she did not return for Why Did I Get Married Again?

The movie explains Patricia's absence by saying she's away on a lecture tour, while Angela suggests Patricia may still be dealing with grief from everything she's experienced.

But Tyler Perry has now explained the real-world reason too.

According to Perry, he wanted Janet back, but the timing didn't work because of her Las Vegas residency schedule. He said her residency ended only days before filming began, making the turnaround essentially impossible.

That's a legitimate explanation.

BUT I STILL LOOKED AT THAT POSTER AND COUNTED EVERYBODY.

WHERE. IS. JANET?! 😂

And Taraji P. Henson isn't playing Patricia or replacing Janet's character. She's playing Roselyn, an entirely new character and longtime friend of the group.

So don't start that Facebook foolishness saying, “They replaced Janet with Taraji!”

No they did not.

Because after waiting sixteen years, you think I'm NOT about to sit down and see what happened to these people?

Please.

I need to know if Angela is still hollering.

I need to know if Marcus is still getting on Angela's nerves.

I need to check on Sheila personally.

Because I haven't forgotten NOTHING. 😂
