🚨 U.S. and Saudi Arabia Launch Joint Airstrikes in Iraq After Attacks on American Forces

The United States and Saudi Arabia have carried out joint precision airstrikes against Iran-aligned militant groups in eastern Iraq after a wave of drone attacks targeted American troops and Saudi energy facilities. U.S. Central Command said the operation focused on logistics hubs and weapons sites used by groups it says are backed by Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

According to U.S. officials, the strikes came after more than 30 drone attacks over a 72-hour period. CENTCOM said the attacks on American forces were unsuccessful but warned that additional attacks could bring further military action.

Saudi Arabia said it joined the operation after Iranian-aligned militias launched drone attacks against the Kingdom, calling the attacks a violation of its sovereignty.

The military action adds another layer of tension to an already volatile Middle East. Regional leaders have expressed concern that continued retaliation could expand the conflict beyond Iraq and increase the risk of a broader regional war.
