Nearly eight years after Kierra Coles disappeared from Chicago's South Side, federal investigators are making a renewed push for answers.

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service has increased its reward to up to $250,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in connection with Coles' disappearance. The agency says $250,000 is the maximum reward it offers.

📍 WHAT HAPPENED TO KIERRA COLES?

Kierra was 26 years old and three months pregnant when she disappeared on October 2, 2018.

She was last seen in Chicago's Chatham neighborhood on the South Side. Coles worked for the U.S. Postal Service and was described at the time as 5 feet 4 inches tall and approximately 125 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. She has a heart tattoo on her right hand and a tattoo reading “Lucky Libra” on her back.

Her family has spent years searching for answers.

🎥 SURVEILLANCE VIDEO CAPTURED HER FINAL KNOWN HOURS

Investigators previously released surveillance footage showing Coles during the period before she disappeared.

According to authorities, footage showed Coles leaving her home with a man detectives described as a person of interest. The two stopped at an ATM, where Coles made cash withdrawals.

Authorities said the man was later seen returning to Coles' apartment building the following morning. He entered the building, later left carrying unknown items and drove away in his own vehicle. Coles was never seen again.

The person of interest was questioned by investigators, but no one has been arrested or charged in Coles' disappearance.

💰 REWARD INCREASED TO $250,000

The Postal Inspection Service initially offered $25,000 shortly after Coles disappeared. The newly announced reward increases the federal amount to up to $250,000.

Coles' family is also offering a separate $63,000 reward for information that helps locate her.

Her mother, Karen Phillips, told FOX 32 Chicago that she was shocked and grateful to learn of the increase and hopes the larger reward will finally encourage someone with information to come forward.
