FLORIDA BURGLARY SUSPECT WATCHES THE VIDEO AND ALLEGEDLY SAYS: “YEAH, THAT’S ME”

Ladies and gentlemen...

FLORIDA HAS REPORTED FOR DUTY.

Because just when Wisconsin tried to snatch the Knucklehead News championship with the naked alleged firefighter situation, Florida said:

“Don't get comfortable. This is OUR division.” 😭😂

We are headed to Homestead, Florida, where police arrested 35-year-old Christopher Chiofalo in connection with a July 25 burglary at Soriano Brothers Cuban Cuisine.

According to the arrest report, police brought Chiofalo to the Homestead Police Department and showed him surveillance video from the burglary.

Now, THIS is usually the part where somebody starts denying everything.

“That ain't me.”

“I don't know that man.”

“Everybody got a cousin that look like them.”

“That camera blurry.”

You know...

THE CLASSICS. 😂

But apparently this gentleman decided we didn't have time for all that.

According to the police report, after watching the footage, Chiofalo allegedly acknowledged breaking into the business and ultimately told the officer:

“Yeah, that's me ... You got me.”

SIR!!!!!

You can't even make the detective DETECT?!

They probably had a whole interrogation ready.

Questions printed out.

Coffee made.

Evidence organized.

Somebody had probably practiced their serious detective face in the bathroom.

And you came in there and basically said:

“Yep. That's me. Next question.”

At that point, what is the detective supposed to do?

“Well... thank you for your cooperation AND for wrapping this up before lunch.”

Because baby, you didn't crack under questioning.

THE QUESTIONING NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO START.

Police say the July 25 burglary caused an estimated $5,200 in losses, including stolen cash, property damage and replacement costs. Chiofalo was booked on charges of armed burglary, third-degree grand theft and criminal mischief of $1,000 or more.

And here's another piece of this story.

Court records reviewed by Local 10 show prosecutors had filed numerous previous cases against Chiofalo going back to 2011, including cases involving alleged burglaries and robberies.

So when that surveillance video came on...

Maybe he looked at the screen and said:

“Yep. I know my work.”

Now, of course, these are allegations, and criminal charges are not convictions.

But according to the police report, this man allegedly watched his own highlight reel and IDENTIFIED HIMSELF FOR THE POLICE.

That is elite-level customer service.

Detective:

“Do you recognize the individual in this video?”

Him:

“Sure do. That's me.”

Detective:

“Well damn.”
