š³š± GOT AN iPHONE 15 PRO OR 16? APPLE MIGHT OWE YOU SOME MONEY! CLAIMS ARE NOW OPEN FOR UP TO $95

CHIIILE, check that iPhone before you trade it in!Ā šš±š°
Apple customers can now submit claims in a $250 million class-action settlementĀ involving allegations that the company promoted enhanced Siri and Apple Intelligence capabilities that weren't delivered to customers when expected.
And depending on which iPhone you purchased and when you bought it, you could receive as much as $95 per eligible device.Ā
š° SO WHO GETS THE MONEY?
This isn't for everybody carrying an iPhone.
The settlement covers eligible U.S. customers who originally purchased an iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, or an eligible iPhone 16-series model between June 10, 2024 and March 29, 2025.Ā The device must have been purchased for personal or professional use rather than resale.
Eligible models include:
iPhone 15 Pro
iPhone 15 Pro Max
iPhone 16
iPhone 16e
iPhone 16 Plus
iPhone 16 Pro
iPhone 16 Pro MaxĀ
So NO, don't pull that iPhone 8 out the kitchen drawer talking about:
āWHERE MY $95?!āĀ š
Apple ain't talking about that one, baby.
š¤ WHAT WAS THE LAWSUIT ABOUT?
When Apple introduced its Apple Intelligence technology, the company promoted a much more capable Siri that would eventually be able to understand personal context, recognize information appearing on a user's screen and perform more sophisticated tasks across apps.
The lawsuit alleged consumers bought qualifying phones expecting certain enhanced Siri features based on Apple's advertising, but those capabilities didn't arrive when customers expected them.
Apple denied wrongdoingĀ and agreed to the $250 million settlement rather than continue litigating the case.
Translation?
The plaintiffs said:
āSiri, where are those features y'all advertised?ā
And Siri apparently said:
āHere's what I found on the web.āĀ ššš
šµ ARE YOU REALLY GETTING $95?
Maybe, but don't spend that $95 yet.
The estimated payment is currently $25 for each eligible device. Depending on the total number of valid claims and other factors, that payment could increase to as much as $95 per device, or potentially decrease.
If you purchased more than one qualifying phone, a separate claim must be submitted for each eligible device.
š² HOW DO YOU FILE?
Claims are now being accepted through the official settlement website. You'll need basic information and identifying information for the eligible iPhone, such as its serial number. Payment options include PayPal, Venmo, direct deposit or a paper check.Ā
And don't wait until Christmas Eve and then remember Lady Red told you about it.
The deadline to submit a claim is December 21, 2026.Ā
ā° WHEN DOES THE MONEY COME?
Not immediately.
A federal court has scheduled a final approval hearing for February 24, 2027. Payments would come after final approval and could be delayed further if appeals are filed.
So don't go putting āAPPLE SETTLEMENT: $95āĀ in November's household budget. š
šļø LADY RED SAYS...
Now THIS is why I tell y'all to stop deleting every email that says CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT.
Because every once in a while that email isn't spam.
It's LUNCH MONEY.Ā šš°
If you bought one of these qualifying phones during the eligible dates, check your information and file your claim before the deadline.
Will everybody get $95?
NO.
Could eligible customers potentially get up to $95?
YES.
And if Apple sends you $25 instead?
Take your little twenty-five dollars and go on about your business. š
Because Siri might not have been ready when they said she would be...
BUT APPARENTLY SHE FOUND YOUR REFUND.Ā šš±šµ
