Claressa Shields is supposed to be preparing to fight somebody IN A BOXING RING, and Remy Ma apparently decided:

“Cool. Let me get my round in first.” 😭🥊🎤

Remy has dropped a new track called “Wanna Go,” and the timing has everybody talking because it arrives amid her increasingly public war of words involving Claressa Shields and Papoose. Coverage of the song describes it as Remy's response to Claressa recently saying Papoose was “supposed to downgrade” after their relationship became public.

And Remy apparently heard DOWNGRADE and said:

“BABY, LET'S DISCUSS WHO GOT WHAT SECONDHAND.”

😭😭😭

The entire concept of “Wanna Go” revolves around new versus used, runway versus resale and somebody shopping the clearance rack.

And if you've been following this beef, you already know why people started screaming.

Remy has previously referred to Claressa as “Clarence,” and the new song plays with “Clarence” and “clearance” language while Remy boasts about having things brand new instead of getting them secondhand.

REMY.

You cannot put CLARENCE and CLEARANCE RACK in the same record and then act surprised when everybody starts connecting dots with a CRAYON. 😭😂

But wait.

Because there's another layer.

Remy also promoted the new music by reposting a clip of Claressa Shields discussing Crime Mob's “Knuck If You Buck,” while “Wanna Go” uses that famous Atlanta energy as part of the record. That immediately had fans interpreting the song as another shot at Claressa.

So now we've got a BOXER...

A RAPPER...

And “KNUCK IF YOU BUCK” floating around in the middle of it.

SOMEBODY PLEASE REMOVE ALL FOLDING CHAIRS FROM THE PREMISES. 😭

But here's where Papoose walks back into this soap opera carrying paperwork.

According to newly surfaced documents reported by Baller Alert, Papoose's attorney sent Remy's attorney a cease-and-desist letter dated April 18 concerning her earlier diss record “W.Y.F.L.”

That song had been released on April 10 and addressed claims that Papoose had written material for Remy, while also containing bars widely interpreted as shots at Claressa.

The letter reportedly demanded that Remy stop publishing the song and remove it, arguing that portions were insulting and intended to embarrass Papoose.

So naturally...

Remy stopped performing it immediately.

Right?

WRONG DAMN ANSWER. 😭😭😭

Months later, on August 2, Remy performed “W.Y.F.L.” during Angie Martinez's Summer BBQ at Paradise Coney Island in Brooklyn.

And according to reports, during the live performance she even altered part of the song and said Papoose's name.

Remy:

Ladies and gentlemen, ARE Y'ALL READY FOR MY NEXT SONG?!

Earlier this month, Claressa posted that she was “ready to air it all out” as the public back-and-forth continued. She didn't name Remy in that particular post, but it came after Remy's Brooklyn performance and amid their ongoing feud.

So everybody involved apparently woke up and chose:

CONTENT.

Papoose got lawyers.

Remy got a microphone.

Claressa got BOXING GLOVES.

And social media got snacks.
