🏀🚨 SHAQ JUST ADDED “HONORARY FBI SPECIAL AGENT” TO HIS ALREADY RIDICULOUS RÉSUMÉ

QUANTICO, VA. — Basketball legend. Businessman. Broadcaster. DJ. Reserve police officer. And now apparently we have to add Honorary FBI Special Agent to Shaquille O’Neal’s résumé.

Because clearly this man looked at retirement and said, “Nah, I need a few more jobs.” 😂

FBI Director Kash Patel announced Thursday that O’Neal received the honorary designation during the FBI National Academy’s Session 299 graduation ceremony in Quantico, Virginia. Patel said the graduating session included 265 law-enforcement officials and described Shaq as a longtime supporter of law enforcement.

HOLD UP... SHAQ ISN’T ABOUT TO START KICKING DOWN DOORS

Before anybody starts picturing a 7-foot-1 Shaq showing up at the house yelling, “FBI! OPEN UP!”, there's an important distinction.

The designation is honorary. It does not mean O’Neal was hired as a regular FBI special agent.

The FBI National Academy is primarily an advanced professional-development program for experienced law-enforcement leaders. Its training focuses on areas including leadership, communication and physical fitness.

BUT SHAQ AND LAW ENFORCEMENT GO WAY BACK

This isn't some random celebrity photo-op pulled out of a hat.

O’Neal has been involved with law enforcement for decades. While playing in the NBA, he trained and served as a reserve police officer, including with Miami Beach Police. He has also received other honorary law-enforcement recognition and has publicly supported efforts aimed at protecting children from online predators.

So while “Honorary FBI Special Agent Shaquille O’Neal” sounds like the beginning of a movie somebody needs to greenlight immediately, the recognition actually connects to a longtime interest of his.

And somewhere right now, somebody who used to yell “Hack-a-Shaq!” is probably reconsidering all their life choices.
