Baby, apparently somebody at Zanies Nashville forgot one VERY important detail when they decided to lock up everybody's phones:

Tia Kemp, affectionately known across these internet streets as Yuntie Tia, hit the stage at Zanies Nashville on August 9, and the venue's own listing confirms that cell phones at the show were subject to being locked inside Yondr bags. Zanies says that decision can be made at the discretion of the club and the comedian.

Welllllll...

Judging from Tia's reaction, SOMEBODY APPARENTLY FORGOT TO CC HER ON THE DAMN MEMO. 😂

📵 WAIT... Y'ALL TOOK THEIR PHONES?!

In the viral clip, Tia realizes the audience doesn't have access to their phones and immediately starts asking questions.

And baby, once Yuntie found out what happened?

THE PHONE LIBERATION MOVEMENT BEGAN. ✊🏾📱😂

Tia wanted those phones RELEASED.

Not after the show.

Not during intermission.

NOWWWW!

Because as far as she was concerned, those weren't just customers sitting in the audience.

Those were her nieces and nephews.

And Yuntie was NOT about to have the family sitting in there electronically incarcerated. 😭

Here's what makes the whole thing even funnier.

Phone-free comedy shows are actually common, and Zanies clearly states in its rules that phones may be locked away during performances. So the venue wasn't necessarily doing anything unusual.

But Tia's response was basically:

That's cute.

NOW GIVE THEM PEOPLE THEY DAMN PHONES. 😂

And THAT is the most Tia Kemp thing imaginable.

You cannot build your entire brand by talking directly to the internet, telling your business, their business, Rick Ross' business, your neighbor's business and possibly somebody's business who hasn't even happened yet...

...and then expect Yuntie to perform in front of 300 people who CAN'T RECORD THE CHAOS.
