Baby, the mystery has been SOLVED.

Remember the woman who went viral after getting onstage with Usher, only to sit there looking like somebody had accidentally seated her at the wrong table at a wedding reception?

Well, she has explained herself.

And apparently Usher wasn't necessarily the problem.

HE JUST WASN'T THE MAN SHE ORDERED. 😭

The woman, identified as Gabrielle Cheyenne, went viral after being brought onstage during Usher and Chris Brown's R&B Tour stop in Nashville on July 25. Usher began his famously steamy audience-participation routine, but Gabrielle wasn't exactly matching his energy. When Usher realized she appeared uncomfortable, he stopped the interaction and had her escorted from the stage.

And the internet immediately went:

WAIT A MINUTE.

This woman just curved USHER?!

Usher Raymond?!

Mr. Confessions?!

Mr. Nice & Slow?!

😂 TURNS OUT... SHE CAME FOR CHRIS BROWN

Gabrielle later explained that she primarily attended the concert to see Chris Brown.

According to her account, she and her mother originally had floor seats before tour staff moved them into the VIP area. She said she was told she might be brought onstage, but wasn't told which performer she'd be joining.

BABY.

There was the problem.

She thought she was possibly getting Breezy...

And the curtain opened...

Now listen, that's still a pretty spectacular consolation prize.

And Gabrielle didn't leave much room for interpretation.

She later said that had the man performing the intimate routine been Chris Brown, her reaction would have been different.

Gabrielle's explanation was that she didn't know beforehand that the invitation was specifically for Usher's segment. She also pushed back against people attacking her online, arguing that viewers didn't know everything that happened before the viral clip.

And let's give her this:

A woman is allowed to say NO.

Even if the man asking is Usher.

Even if 50,000 women in the stadium are simultaneously screaming:

Going onstage isn't a lifetime subscription to whatever happens next.

His message was basically:

More specifically, Usher told the crowd:

“Don't bring your ass up here if you don't wanna be here.”

And who was standing nearby laughing?
