😳💰 WTF?! GEORGE FLOYD’S FAMILY WANTS TO KNOW WHERE THE MILLIONS IN GOFUNDME DONATIONS WENT

Okay, y’all, WTF is going on with George Floyd’s GoFundMe money?

Because six years after his death, three of George Floyd’s siblings are demanding financial records showing exactly what happened to millions of dollars donated in his name.

George’s sisters Zsazsa Floyd and LaTonya Floyd, along with his brother Rodney Floyd, have hired an attorney and are seeking records from their brother Philonise Floyd, who organized the official George Floyd Memorial GoFundMe.

And before social media turns this into something that has NOT been established, let me make this clear:

They are not accusing Philonise of stealing the money.

They are saying, essentially, show us the books.

The siblings want GoFundMe reports, bank and transaction records, financial statements, tax documents and information showing how the donations were received, managed and distributed.

And we're talking about MILLIONS.

GoFundMe previously reported that the Official George Floyd Memorial Fund raised about $14.7 million from more than 500,000 donors in 2020. The family's attorney now cites a figure of approximately $19 million, which is one of the reasons a complete accounting could help clarify exactly how much money ultimately came in.

Now remember why people donated.

The original fundraiser said the money would help with funeral and burial costs, counseling, travel connected with court proceedings and other family expenses, with a portion intended for George Floyd’s estate and his children’s education.

But according to the siblings, they've been trying to obtain financial information and believe they haven't received what they consider their fair share.

And Lady Red has ONE question:

Where are the receipts?

Because this doesn't have to become a Facebook family reunion with everybody yelling across the table.

We don't need speculation.

We don't need accusations without evidence.

We need PAPERWORK.

If every dollar went exactly where it was supposed to go, the records can show that.

If there's a legitimate explanation for how the money was divided, the records can show that.

And if something doesn't add up?

The records can show THAT too.

More than half a million people reportedly donated because they believed they were helping George Floyd’s family after a tragedy that shook the entire world.

So if members of that family are now asking how those millions were handled...

OPEN THE BOOKS.

Not because anybody has been proven guilty of anything.

But because when you're talking about millions of dollars donated by the PUBLIC in somebody's name?

Baby...

TRANSPARENCY SHOULDN'T BE TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR.
